Luther improved to 2-2-0 following an impressive 4-0 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan this afternoon in Decorah. The Norse out shot the Prairie Wolves 16-8 and scored two goals in each half.
Elly Arend scored what proved to be the game winner in the 26th minute assisted by Maggie Herrity. Ten minutes later, Shelby Steele found the back of the net also assisted by Herrity.
In the second frame, Kate Manning scored her second goal of the season unassisted at 64:12. Shannon Gerberding completed the scoring with a goal at 72:48 assisted by Steele.
Jacqueline Zoubek picked up her first collegiate shut out turning away two shots on goal.
Luther will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 9 when they will host Macalester College at 2:00 p.m. This match will be video streamed.
