McKenzie Carney Named USTFCCCA All-Scholar Athlete

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) has announced that Luther junior McKenzie Carney has been named a 2016 All-Scholar Athlete.

In total, there were 374 who earned All-Academic mention from the USTFCCCA in NCAA Division III. In order to be named USTFCCA All-Academic, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) and finish in the top-25 percent at their respective regional.

Luther competed at the Central Regional hosted by Carleton College (MN). A total of 218 runners competed in the 6K race. Carney earned all-Region honors for the second time of her career placing in the top-35, finishing 25th with a time of 23:13.
