“Being a part of this team is almost like being part of another family,” says Rachel. “We spend a lot of time together which gives us a chance to learn so much about each other and bond as close as sisters.”

Rachel also feels she had a unique opportunity while traveling to South Africa with the team. She remarked, “To play a part in teaching and educating children about basketball was inspirational, as well as a once in a lifetime experience.”

Here at Luther, Rachel also helps with PALS (a community service organization) and is an accounting and management major. She hopes to open and operate her own floral shop someday.
