Luther dropped an 87-66 decision to Buena Vista University at Siebens Fieldhouse this afternoon.

Luther held a 42-40 halftime lead, but a frigid second half combined with a nearly 50 percent effort by Buena Vista, allowed the Beavers to outscore the Norse 47-24 in the second frame. The Norse shot 25 percent (7-28) that included a 2-for-12 effort from behind the three-point line.

Four Norse tallied double digits led by Taylor Johnson with 14. Meagan Koepnick, Tayler Jenks and Kylie Romeo all chipped in 13. Romeo's point total was a career high.

Buena Vista (4-8, 11-12) was led by Brooke Wehle who scored a game high 18. She was followed by Becca Pennington with 13, Susan Kies with 12, Lexi Fisher with 11 and Malarie Gilley with 10.

The loss gives Luther a league record of 5-7, 13-10 overall. The Norse will host Coe College (5-7, 12-11) Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 6:00 p.m.
