Luther College junior forward Taylor Johnson, a 2010 graduate of Logan High School, has been named to the D3hoops.com all-West Region team as a third team selection.
Johnson, who was named a first-team all-Iowa Conference performer two weeks ago, led the Norse in scoring and rebounding, producing 16.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. She also led the team with 70 assists and 25 blocked shots. Thirteen times she recorded a double-double during the 2012-13 campaign.
Johnson also became the third Luther player in women’s basketball history to score over 1,000 points and grabbed over 600 rebounds. She will enter her final season with a career total of 1,034 points and 625 rebounds that ranks tenth and fourth on Luther's all-time lists respectively.
Johnson helped lead the Norse to their first Iowa Conference Tournament appearance in four years and its first regular season winning record (13-12) in that same amount of time.
Johnson is the daughter of Rich and Terri Johnson of La Crosse, Wis.
