A two-time Iowa Conference all-academic honoree (3.50 GPA or higher), Anna's second family is the cross country team.

"Perhaps my most rewarding experience was during spring break 2010 when I traveled to Ocean Springs, Mississippi, with the Luther Habitat for Humanity chapter to help rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina. I was able to lend a helping hand and a friendly smile to those still suffering the effects of the hurricane five years after it hit. I made many new friends and was also able to run along the beach--a rarity in Iowa!"
