As a freshman, Tim was a member of the winning 200 freestyle relay at both the Liberal Arts and Iowa Conference meets.

"There are three people who have made equal impacts on my athletic career. My first swim coach was the one who taught me how to love the competition involved with swimming. My dad taught me the life lesson of how hard work pays off by showing me how the effort put into practice pays off in competition. Finally, my mom was the one who gave me inspiration. If I ever doubted myself, she would always be there telling me that she knew I could do it."

"Being a part of the Luther swimming and diving team is like having a second family. Everyone looks out for one another whether it's in the pool or in the classroom. We learn from one another's mistakes, and if someone on the team needs help, there's always someone there to step up and show them the way."
