A three-time all-Iowa Conference performer, Shane chose Luther because he really liked the college's initiative to be more environmentally friendly.

"I would like to work in a field doing research with environmental sustainability and conservation ecology. I came to Luther because I felt the atmosphere was very original and oriented toward learning. The cross country team is like family. It's great to share a run with such a close group everyday."
