Matt Knutson and Sam Buffington cruised to an (8-0) victory against Ryan Gilbert and Tyler Johnson at No. 2 doubles.  Aaron Ford and Bjørn Norderhaug quickly followed with an (8-1) win over Phil Kruzan and Luke Norris, extending the Norse advantage to 2-0.  Grandview tallied its first point when Anthony Forcucci and Jordan Feige edged Sam Cychosz and Kenny Goins by an (8-6) margin at No. 1.

Leading 2-1, the Norse won five of the six singles matches in straight sets before Grandview won the final match in a third set super tie-breaker to complete the scoring.  Norderhaug won in routine fashion, defeating Norris (6-0, 6-0) at No. 6.  Buffington came away with his fourth victory of the day, beating Gilbert (6-1, 6-1) at No. 4.  Knutson also completed a perfect 4-0 day on the court with a (6-1, 6-4) win over Feige at No.2.  Ford was the third member of the Norse to finish with four wins on the day, defeating Kruzan (6-1, 6-3) at No. 5.  Cychosz won his second match of the day at No. 1 singles, grabbing a (6-2, 6-1) victory against Forcucci.  Grandview’s Johnson held off Goins by a count of (6-3, 4-6, (10-4)) in the final match of the day.
