Host St. Mary's defeated Luther 3-1 in the final match for both teams of the Ground Round Sugar Loaf Classic. The Cardinals posted set scores of 25-22, 13-25, 25-17 and 25-16.

Hannah Wilson and Natalee Johnson tallied six kills each. Lindsey Ryan was credited with 30 assists. Brandi Knupp and Carissa Sternhagen both recorded 10 digs.

The two losses this afternoon gives the Norse an overall record of 1-3. They will return to action Sept. 7-8 when they will travel to Spokane, Wash. for the Whitworth Classic.
