Eight Norse placed at the Loras College Duhawk Open this afternoon in Dubuque.

Eric Moreno improved to 16-9 capturing the individual title at 165. Moreno defeated Dalton Grinstead of Dubuque 4-2, posted a major decision over Benjamin Rosen of Cornell 11-2, and then won by medical forfeit over Matthew Vercillo of Wartburg in the title match.

Second place finishes were posted by Louis Mazzetta (133) and Andrew Waites (285). Mazetta was defeated 12-10 in his title match by Dakota Bauer who was wrestling unattached. Waites lost a 4-0 match to Carl Gaul of Cornell in the championship tilt.

The remainder of the place winners included third place finishes by Nick Jazdzewski (165) and Dale Lewis (174), fifth place finishes by Sheldon Smith (141) and Jake Johnson (285), and a sixth place finish by Tom Tourdot (285).
