In a match between two nationally ranked teams, No. 5 UW-La Crosse prevailed defeating No. 16 Luther 24-9 in the Regents Center.
The Norse picked up wins by Evan Obert at 133, Eric Moreno at 165 and 197 by Trent Flegel. Obert defeated James Bennette 6-2, while Moreno defeated No. 9 ranked Kevin O'Brien 6-4. Felgel, ranked No. 3, defeated Tony Piechowski 11-4.
The loss drops Luther's dual meet record to 1-1, while La Crosse improved to 8-1.
The Norse will return to action following finals next week when they will host the Gator Duals in New Orleans, La., on Sunday, Dec. 16.
