Luther fell to 1-2 in dual meet competition following a 98-190 loss to Grinnell College. Steve Sorenson, Zack Kuntz and Luther's 200 freestyle relay were the only first place finishes posted by the Norse.

Sorenson (2:08.00) touched the wall first in the 200 butterfly, edging teammate Eric Hild (2:08.72). Kuntz won the 50 freestyle (22.40), defeating Grinnell's Gus Fulgoni (22.50). Kuntz, Tim Cutler, Kristian Anderson and Jason Orvis wrapped up the afternoon's competition with a first place finish in the 200 freestyle relay (1:28.50).

Runner-up finishes were posted by Kuntz in the 100 freestyle (:49.91), David Carius in the 200 freestyle (1:49.93), Cutler in both the 100 breaststroke (1:01.73) and 200 breaststroke (2:20.46), and Orvis in the 100 backstroke (:55.29) and 200 backstroke (2:04.12). The 200 medley relay foursome of Orvis, Cutler, Anderson and Kuntz also placed second (1:40.08).
