Luther evened its Iowa Conference record to 1-1 thanks to a 3-1 victory over Simpson College this evening in Indianola.

The Norse won set one 25-13, dropped set two 14-25 and then secured the victory with set scores of 25-21 and 25-18.

Natalee Johnson led the Norse attack with eight kills. She was followed by Sophia Brown and Hannah Wilson with seven and six kills respectively. Lindsey Ryan dished out 24 assists. Ellen Pritchard was credited with three of Luther's five ace serves on the evening.

The Norse also did a good job at the net producing 8.5 team blocks. Ryan was credited with two solo and three assists, while Brown tallied four block assists and one solo.

The victory was the third in a row for the Norse who are now 8-6 overall. Simpson fell to 1-1 in the IIAC, 3-11 overall.

Luther returns to action one week from tonight when it will travel to Loras College. This match will begin at 7:30 p.m.
