  • 1979 graduate of Luther College
  • 28th year as head coach - eighth as head coach for both the men's and women's programs.
  • Has coached 94 conference champions and 36 All-Americans including 2001 Indoor Distance Medley Relay National Championship team.
  • His student-athletes have earned over 400 track-and-field all-conference honors.
  • Named 1995 Iowa Conference Coach of the Year in track and field.
  • Serves as co-director of the Luther College Distance Running Camp.

  • 1997 graduate of St. John's University.
  • 1999 graduate of University of Iowa - M.S. Exercise Physiology.
  • Ninth year as assistant coach.
  • Also serves as the head men's cross-country coach.
  • Led Norse men's team to Iowa Conference cross country championship in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010
  • His men's cross-country teams have placed 6th at the NCAA III National Championships in 2006, 8th in 2007, 26th in 2010 and 24th in 2012
  • Named Iowa Conference Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010
  • Prior to taking over the Norse programs Steve spent two years as an assistant at Williams College (MA), where the women's team won the national championship in 2004 and the men's team finished in the top-10 in 2003 and 2004.
  • From 2000-2002 head men's coach of cross country at Macalester College (MN).

  • 2000 Graduate of Macalester College
  • Ninth year as an assistant coach
  • Also serves as the associate head coach for women's cross country team
  • Led the Norse women to Iowa Conference cross-country championships in 2006, 2007 and 2010
  • Her teams have made six appearances at the NCAA III National Cross-Country Championships finishing 11th (2006), 10th (2007), 7th (2008), 6th (2010), 23rd (2011) and 14th (2012)
  • Named Iowa Conference Coach of the Year in 2006, 2007 and 2010
  • Named Central Region Coach of the Year after the Norse captured the 2007 and 2010 Central Region championship
  • Joined the Luther staff following two years as an assistant at Williams College (Mass.), where the women's team won the national title in 2004
  • Four-time All-American in 1500 meter run (1997-2000) and a two-time All-American in Cross Country (1997, 1998) while a student-athlete at Macalester College

  • Two-time indoor all-conference performer in the 5,000 and once in this same event outdoors
  • Two-time academic all-conference honoree
