Tennis

Torstein grew up in Norway and was exposed to Luther College at a young age. His mother attended Luther and his family is also close with former Luther tennis coach Rich Leake.

He lists the opportunity to play competitive tennis, meet great people, and get a great education as the biggest factors in his decision to attend the school.

The tennis player, whose favorite athlete is Fernando Torres, mentioned he still tries to keeps up with the world of soccer. “I love soccer, but I only play it for fun as tennis and studies take up much of my time.”

Jystad is uncertain where he will reside following his time at Luther, but describes his mission. “I hope to work with the challenges of the environment in some way.”
