The Iowa Conference has announced that David Carius has been named the Swimmer of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 27.

Carius, a freshman, was involved in three first-place finishes in a 130-70 dual victory over Coe. He won the 200 IM (2:08.63) and 100 butterfly (56.64) and swam on a 200 freestyle relay (1:32.83) that touched the wall two seconds clear of the field but was exhibitioned.
