Luther and UW-Platteville played to a 1-1 draw tonight under the lights. The tie was the second for the Norse in their current five-match unbeaten string.
The Pioneers Lucas Aplin scored early at 2:27, assisted by Ivan Khamenka. Aplin's goal was his first of the year.
With a little under six minutes left in regulation, Ben Keller found the back of the net assisted by Brunno Colon (2), that sent the match into extra frames. Keller's goal was his fifth of the year.
The Norse tallied 20 shots to the Pioneers nine. Goalkeeper Nate Miller was credited with five saves, while Norse keeper Carson Davenport was credited with two.
The tie gives Luther an overall record of 6-3-2. UW-Plattville is now 8-2-1.
Luther returns to Iowa Conference action this Saturday, Oct. 7, when it will host Loras College for Homecoming. Start time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
