No. 19 Luther improved to 11-1 following a 2-1 overtime road victory over UW-Platteville.
Jon Gednalske (7) scored the game winner in the 96th minute on a header off a cross from Valdis Upmalis. Gednalske's game winner was his fourth of the season.
JW Slauson (5) gave the Norse a 1-0 lead in the 73rd minute assisted by Matheus Beato (1). Seven minutes later, Platteville's Jon Stopple leveled the match driving a loose ball in the box into the top right corner of the net.
Peter Wright and Tommy Breen split time in front of the nets. Wright played the first half and was credited with one save, while Breen finished the game and was credited with three saves.
Luther is now 3-0 in overtime matches this season. The Norse will return to Iowa Conference action on Saturday when they will travel to Buena Vista University. This match is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be available on video stream.
