Luther improved to 3-0 as it defeated Augsburg College 2-1 tonight in Minneapolis.
In a match that was relatively even in total shots and saves, Jon Gednalske broke loose for two goals for the Norse. Gednalske gave Luther a 1-0 lead at 25:43 assisted by Martin Stalberger, and then scored the game winner unassisted at 88:25. Gednalske, who missed a good chunk of the season last year due to an injury, has produced a team best three goals.
Peter Wright and Tommy Breen once again split time in front of the nets. Combined they posted five saves.
At the other end of the field, the Norse tallied 13 shots, eight that were on goal.
Luther returns to action on the road this Saturday, Sept. 6 when it will travel to Waldorf College for a 7:00 p.m. match. This match will be video streamed by Waldorf at - http://new.livestream.com/waldorfcollegestream
