Thanks to two goals by Nick McDonald, one of the top scorers in the NCAA III, University of Dubuque defeated Luther this evening 2-1 in Dubuque.
McDonald, who entered tonight's match ranked 4th in the nation for goals scored, drove in his 17th and 18th of the season, at 2:50 and 38:35 of the first half. Both goals were assisted by Brandon Wiley.
Luther scored its lone goal on a penalty kick by Saul Rosales (7) in the 85th minute.
The loss drops Luther's Iowa Conference record to 1-3, 7-4-2 overall. Dubuque remains undefeated in league play with a record of 4-0, 10-3 overall.
The Norse return to IIAC action this Saturday, Oct. 13 when they will host Simpson College at 3:00 p.m.
