Five different players scored as Luther rolled to a 5-0 victory over Buena Vista University this evening in Storm Lake.The Norse scored once in the first half and four times in the second.

Mark Fernandes (1) drove in the game winner in the 25th minute assisted by James Garcia-Prats and Saul Rosales. Brock Arend (5) found the back of the net at 53:19 assisted by Holly Gray III (1). Clay Walker (2) and Muluken Taye (1) scored unassisted goals in the 67th and 86th minutes. Michael Osmera (1) completed the scoring with a goal in the 87th minute assisted by Logan Martell (1).

The Norse out shot the Beavers 23-1 with 10 of their shots being on goal.

The win gives Luther an Iowa Conference record of 1-2, 7-3-2 overall. Buena Vista fell to 0-3 in league play, 5-6-1 overall.

Luther returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 10 when it will travel to University of Dubuque for a match that will begin at 7:00 p.m.
