It was a dominating performance here in Decorah as Luther defeated Cornell College 7-0 in a non-conference match. The Norse tallied 16 shots on goal en route to their sixth victory of the season.

James Garcia-Prats (1) scored what proved to be the game winner in the fifth minute assisted by Brock Arend. Three minutes later, Garcia-Prats (2) scored his second goal of the season unassisted. Logan Martell (2) completed the first half scoring at 31:13.

In the second frame, Clay Walker, David Zalk and Zena Fantaye all scored their first goals of the season. Martell (3) also found the back of the net for the second time assisted by Muluken Taye.

The victory gives Luther an overall record of 6-2-2. Cornell fell to 0-9-0.

The Norse will return to Iowa Conference action this Saturday when they will host nationally ranked #5 Loras College. This match will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be video streamed.
