Luther improved to 5-1-2 thanks to a 4-0 victory over St. Mary's University this afternoon in Decorah. The Norse scored three goals in the first half and one in the second.
Jon Gednalske (3) scored what proved to be the game winner in the fifth minute assisted by Martin Stalberger (1). Twelve minutes later Saul Rosales (6) found the back of the Cardinal net unassisted. JW Slauson (3) completed the first half scoring at 26:09 assisted by James Garcia-Prats (1) and Josh Parris (1).
In the second frame, Oket Dakwa-Agyekum (1) scored on a header off a corner kick. Rosales sent the ball into the box, that was headed by Gednalske to Dakwa-Agyekum, who finished the play in the upper right hand corner of the net.
Four different goalkeepers played tonight for the Norse. Peter Wright, who got the start was credited with one save, as was AJ Engelken who finished the match for the Norse.
Luther will begin Iowa Conference action this Saturday, Sept. 22 when it will travel to Central College. This match will be video streamed by Central and is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
