Brock Arend (2) broke a 0-0 tie with a goal to the left corner of the Macalester net in the 75th minute. The goal proved to be the game winner as the Norse went on to defeat the Scots 2-0. Arend's goal was assisted by Clay Walker (1).

Five minutes later, Saul Rosales (3) scored an insurance goal on a penalty kick after Jon Gednalske was taken down in the box.

Peter Wright and Tommy Breen each played a half in goal producing two save each.

The win gives Luther an overall record of 3-0-2. Macalester fell to 0-4.

The Norse will return to action on Friday, Sept. 14 when they will host University of St. Thomas. This match will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be video streamed.
