The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has announced that Luther College junior Andrew Peter has been named to the 2013 Division III Ping All-Central Region Team.

The GCAA and Ping recognized a total of 81 NCAA III student-athletes from six regions. Peter was one of 14 golfers named to the All-Central Region that included Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Nebraska.

Peter, a 2010 graduate of Decorah High School, was Luther’s No. 1 player during the 2012-13 campaign. He was the Iowa Conference MVP after winning the individual title of the 72-hole league championship with a 293. He played 19 rounds for the Norse posting a stroke average of 74.0

Peter is the son of Tim and Sandra Peter of Decorah, Iowa.
