The Iowa Conference has announced that Joel Bruns was named the Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 7.

Bruns, a junior, won the 6-team Loras Spring Invitational by one stroke with an even-par 143. He fired a 1-under 71 at Waveland Golf Course in Des Moines Saturday, then followed it up Sunday with 1-over 72 at Otter Creek Golf Club in Ankeny. Luther won the team title by eight strokes over Wisconsin-Stout in a field that included five of eight IIAC schools.
