The Luther golf team was one of the 26 NCAA Division III institutions to receive the All-Academic Team award from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors, a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year. Including all divisions (NCAA I, II, III and NAIA) a total of 124 teams submitted GPAs of 3.00 or higher to earn All-Academic Team recognition.

The award is presented annually by Farmer's Insurance and the GCAA.
