Football
As a senior in high school Josh rushed for 2,200 yards and 35 touchdowns. The all-state running back also led his team to their first ever state championship. Winning the state title was huge for the entire Voss family, as Josh was a fourth generation football player for the Morrison Mustangs. This success led to a lot of recruiting attention.
“Luther was the first college team that came and talked to me after a game, as well as the first school to contact me after we won our state game,” says Josh. “At the time it meant a lot to me.”
He also chose Luther because of the small campus. “I liked the idea of having small class sizes similar to my high school classes. Also because of the scenery. Everywhere you look is a great view.”
When Josh first arrived at Luther, he didn’t know anyone but he’s made countless friendships. “Being a part of Luther football is like joining a fraternity, not only did I make around 80 friends on the first day, but I became part of a great tradition here at Luther.”
