A four-time all-conference and all-district cross country performer at Decorah High School, Evan also helped lead the Vikings to two fourth-place and two sixth-places finishes at state.

"I'm extremely lucky to have the teammates I do. Every individual works hard and maintains a positive attitude throughout the season. Having close friends on the team really motivates me to push myself while having fun at the same time."

"I chose to stay in Decorah and attend Luther because I admired its strong academic program and liked the idea of being challenged. I wanted to be a part of a successful cross country program. Coach Pasche also was a huge influence on my decision."
