Luther placed 24th from the field of 32 teams today at the NCAA III National Championships. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hosted the national finale at that the LaVern Gibson Course, Terre Haute, Ind. Luther was making its 27th appearance in school history and fourth under the direction of Head Coach Steve Pasche.
The Norse were led by Marty Mitchell who finished 66th - scored 47 points - overall from the field of 280 runners. Mitchell covered the 8k course clocked at 25:27.7.
Completing Luther's top five, where they finished, what they scored and their time included Austin Bauer (131 - 94pts - 25:53.6), Alex Rigdon (176 - 131 pts - 26:14.1), Tyler Broadwell (183 - 137 pts - 26:15.6), and Logan Langley (229 - 175 pts - 26:42.9).
Matt Rubins (242 - 26:53.8) and Jack Espeset (249 - 27:02.8) completed the Norse seven.
