The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced the 2013 NABC Division III All-District teams and coaches, recognizing the best men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division. All nominees were selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC and represent the finest basketball players across America.

Tyler Wedemeier, a 2009 graduate of West Central - Maynard High School, was a West Region first-team selection. Each of the eight regions recognizes five players on both a first and second team.

Wedemeier, a senior center, helped lead Luther to its second Iowa Conference championship in the past three years. He was named the Iowa Conference Most Valuable Player after producing 16.5 points and grabbing 9.6 rebounds per game. He also set a Luther single season record with 75 blocked shots.

With this honor, Wedemeier becomes the 14^th player in Luther history to be named to a NABC All-District team.
