Senior center Tyler Wedemeier, a 2009 graduate of West Central Maynard High School, has been named to the D3hoops.com all-West Region team as a third team selection.
Wedemeier, this year's Iowa Conference Most Valuable Player, helped lead Luther to its second league title in the past three years. Wedemeier led the Norse in scoring and rebounding producing 16.5 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. He also set the single season school record for blocked shots with 75.
He completed his career as the sixth player in Luther history to score over 1,000 points and record over 750 rebounds. He ranks 11th all-time with 1,161 points and sixth all-time with 759 rebounds. He 75 blocked shots this season increased his school record to 247.
Wedemeier is the son of Kevin and Kenda Wedemeier of Maynard, Iowa.
