The deeper you dig into the Danny Smith file the more interesting it becomes. You’ll find “rookie of the year,” “violin,” and “FBI” among the many key words to his resume.  

Smith says he was skeptical of the small college idea during his senior year at Edina High School. “I didn’t think a smaller school would offer the same college life experience as a big school but I quickly realized that wasn’t the case.”

He was able to gain playing time as a pitcher during his first year with the Norse baseball team, and won rookie of the year honors. While on campus he also continued with private music lessons as a violinist, and has been working towards a double major in Sociology/French.  

Danny hopes the diverse background will help him gain admission into the FBI Academy following graduation at Luther.
