Williams scored nine run on 14 hits en route to a 9-3 victory over Luther in Tucson, Ariz. The Norse tallied their three runs on eight hits.
Senior designated hitter Andrew Nelson tallied three of Luther's eight hits going 3-for-4 at the plate. Eric Pittman and Thomas Weber were each credited with an RBI.
Sophomore pitcher Andy Nelson was credited with the loss. Nelson threw the first five innings, allowed five runs on seven hits and walked six.
Luther will begin Iowa Conference play this weekend when it will travel to Buena Vista University March 29-20. The Norse and Beavers will play four games, one seven inning and one nine inning game each day.
