Luther wrapped up its season with a split with Central College this afternoon here in Decorah.
The Dutch exploded for 14 runs on 12 hits en route to a 14-1 victory over the Norse in game one. The Norse tallied just four hits and committed eight errors.
In the nightcap, a three-run double by Dakotah Rostad proved to be the game winner, as the Norse defeated the Dutch 3-1. Multiple hits were produced by Austin Graham, Zach Hendrikson and Daniel Schoess. Schoess was a home run away from hitting for the cycle, producing a double in the fourth, single in the fifth and a triple to right in the eighth.
Nate Whitham (2-2) went the distance on the mound. Whitham spread five hits, allowed one run, walked four and struck out two.
Luther ends its season with a league record of 10-18, 14-22 overall. Central is now 12-14 in the Iowa Conference 20-17 overall.
