Two-year letter winner in baseball while at Newman Catholic High…member of Knights 2009 and 2010 North Iowa Conference championship squad…the Knights also won the Iowa Class A state championship in 2009 and were state semifinalist in 2010…also earned four letters in hockey and golf and one letter as a member of the football team…played on four state tournament golf teams including state championship team of 2007 and state runner-ups in 2008…twice named all-league in hockey…son of Mary and Dan Burgmeier.
