Forty Luther Student-Athletes Named to Iowa Conference Spring Sports All-Academic Team

The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) announced today the spring sport members of its 2017-18 All-Academic Team. Three hundred and forty student-athletes from the Conference's six spring championship sports met the requirements for recognition.

To be eligible for Iowa Conference All-Academic Team honors a student-athlete must compete at the varsity level, be at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

Of the 40 Luther student-athletes recognized, eight have earned this honor three times, 12 have been recognized twice, and 20 were recognized for the first time. 

The breakdown by sport was five for baseball, five for softball, three for men's tennis, 12 for men's track & field and 15 for women's track & field.
