Four Luther athletes have qualified for the 2014 NCAA III National Outdoor Track and Field Championships that will be hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, Ohio May 22-24.
Serres and Hoyme will be making their second consecutive appearance at the national finale, while Lampe and Broderick have qualified for the first time of their careers. Serres, earned All-America honors last year placing fifth in the 1500.
Action will begin on Thursday, May 22 with four events of the Heptathlon (100 hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200 meter), plus the prelims for the 1500 and 400 hurdles.
Friday the Heptathlon will conclude (long jump, javelin and 800 meters), plus the prelims for the open 800 meters will take place.
Saturday will see the prelims and finals for the discus, and finals for the 400 hurdles, 800 and 1500.
The top-eight finishers in each event earn All-American honors.
