No team scores were kept at the UW-Platteville Invitational this afternoon.
Colin Kern won the Mile clocked at 4:28.79. Kyle Gilberg finished third with a time of 4:36.09. In the middle of these two was Matt Gagen of Loras College with a time of 4:31. Colin Weber also placed seventh at 4:42.94.
Five Norse placed in the top-10 of the 3000 meter run. This group included Erik Duethman (4th - 8:47.20), Hunter Prueger (5th - 9:00), Jacob Warehime (7th - 9:05.12), Luke Lumbar (8th - 9:08.17) and Billy Jeide (9th - 9:10.93). Duethman's time ranks ninth on Luther's all-time list.
Maxwell Tapp and Lucas Kane also etched their names on Luther's all-time lists. Tapp posted a time of 7.42 in the qualifying round of the 60 meters that ranks tied for 10th all-time. Kane recorded a mark of 48-10 in the 35lb weight throw that ranks third all-time. Tapp just missed qualifying for the finals of the 60 meters and Kane placed 13th.
Luther's final warm-up before the Iowa Conference Indoor Championships will be next Friday, Feb. 16. The Norse will compete at the University of Dubuque Invitational. Start time is slated for 3:00 p.m.
