The Norse never trailed but did get out of a jam in the bottom of the sixth, when Beavers loaded the bases and scored twice, to pull to within 5-4. The Norse added a run in the seventh.
Luther tallied eight hits led by Stockman and Blake Banowetz who were both 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Burrows threw a bullet to home plate and Addy Pender threw out Jeanne Bramhall to end the game. Bramhall had rounded third, decided to go back to third, but slipped and fell to the ground and was was tagged out by Banowetz.
