Luther improved to 3-2-1 at home after defeating Carleton College 2-0 tonight under the lights. The win extended Luther's unbeaten streak to four matches and increased its overall record to 6-3-1. Luther is also now 3-0 against opponents from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season.
Rafael Broseghini scored what proved to be the game winner at 22:22 assisted by Ben Keller (4). Broseghini's goal found the right corner of Knights goal and was his third of the season.
Carson Davenport went the distance in front of the nets and turned away all three shots he faced inside the frame. It was his second consecutive shut out and it lowered his goals-against-average to 1.02.
The Norse have one day off and then they will host UW-Platteville Tuesday, Oct. 3. Start time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
