Day Two Recap: Luther sits in second place (146.5) following today's first full day of swimming events. Franklin College (208.5) leads the field of nine teams. Officially this was day two of the Liberal Arts Championships because women's one-meter diving was contested last night.
Advancing to the A-Finals today included David Carius (4th - 4:48.21) and Sam Raiche (8th - 4:56.14) in the 500 freestyle; Carson Miller (6th - 1:59.57) in the 200 IM; Andres Alvarez-Arboled (4th - 21.88) and Ryley Kramka (8th - 22.23) in the 50 freestyle.
The Norse also placed fourth in the 200 freestyle relay and fifth in the 400 medley relay.
Day Three Recap (Friday): Luther remains in second place following the second full day of swimming action. The Norse have posted a point total of 331.5 and hold a slim 16.5 point lead over third place Morningside College. Franklin College sits atop the leader board with 500.5.
In the relays, Trevor Kao, Justin Yuan, Kellen Glynn and Andres Alvarez-Arbold placed sixth in the 200 medley relay. David Carius, Miller, Jacob Cole and Weinberg completed the days action with a third place finish in the 800 freestyle relay.
Final Day Recap (Saturday): For the fourth time in as many years, Luther finished second in the team race at the Liberal Arts Championships. The Norse posted a point total of 477.5. Franklin College won the team title for the second year in a row with a point total of 785.5.
Advancing to the A-finals today and where they finished included, David Carius (1650 free - 3rd), Spencer Young (1650 free - 7th); Carson Miller (200 breaststroke - 8th); Sam Raiche (200 fly - 3rd) and Steve Sorenson (200 fly - 6th).
The 400 freestyle relay of Carius, Miller, Sam Weinberg and Justin Yuan wrapped up the three days of swimming competition placing fifth.
