Luther and Lawrence University combined for a total of 27 runs, 36 hits and seven errors in a game that was decided in the tenth inning.
Trailing 13-6 entering the bottom half of the eighth, Luther scored four runs on four hits to tie the game at 13-13. Neither team could muster a run in the ninth. Lawrence scored what proved to be the game winner on a fielders choice 4-6 putout that scored lead off batter Dan Taylor who started the frame with a single.
The loss gives Luther an overall record of 4-3. The Norse will face NAIA opponent Valley City State (ND) this afternoon in a nine inning game.
