Day One Results: Following the first day of the 2014 Iowa Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Luther is in fifth place with 20 points. Wartburg has a commanding lead and sits atop the leader board with 112.5 points. Central College is second with 49 and Loras is third with 43.
Dan Etter posted the lone all-conference honor (place in the top three) of the afternoon for the Norse. Etter placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 164-06.
Joel Clarke qualified for tomorrow's final in the 110 hurdles, while Sam Stokes-Cerkvenik and Cooper Nelson did the same in the 400 hurdles.
Day Two Results: Joel Clarke finished fourth in the 110 hurdles clocked at a personal best of 15.05. Sam Stokes-Cerkvenik and Cooper Nelson placed fourth and seventh respectively in the 400 hurdles. Stokes-Cerkvenik crossed the line in 55.52 and Nelson was clocked at 58.89.
The Norse finished fifth with 67 points. Wartburg won its second consecutive league title with 231 points, followed by Central with 166 and Loras with 145.
