Luther lost a hard-fought 69-76 decision to Wartburg College this afternoon in the Regents Center.
Wartburg led 35-33 at halftime and extended their lead by as many as 14 with just over eight minutes remaining in the second stanza. The Norse battled back and pulled to within four (66-70), but it proved to be as close as the Norse would get to the Knights the rest of way.

Wartburg was led the Thomas Perkins 16-point effort. Eddie Diemer, who led the Knights with five assists, tallied 13, while Taylor Jacobsmeier chipped in 12.
The loss drops Luther's Iowa Conference record to 0-2, 8-5 overall. Wartburg leveled its league record to 1-1, 7-6 overall.
The Norse will travel to University of Dubuque on Wednesday, Jan. 15 for a game scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.
