It was a beautiful morning for the 41st running of the All-American Invitational. One hundred and 68 runners competed in 5K race with Carleton claiming the team title posting a point total of 53 poinits. Luther was second with 70, followed by UW-La Crosse with 71 and the Luther Alumni finished fourth with 82.
The Norse were led by freshman Tricia Serres who finished fourth overall with a time of 18:54.9. Fiona McKenna of Iowa Central won the individual title clocked at 18:40.5. She was followed by Luther Alumni Emma Spoon (18:51.9) and Kim Horner (18:53.1).
Rounding out Luther's top five and where they finished included Maggie Pierson (12th - 19:24.5), Christina Storlie (14th - 19:30.8), Lauren Mordini (19th - 19:43.2) and Jayne Cole (21st - 19:45.3)
The Norse will return to action Sept. 21, when they will participate in the UW-Eau Claire Invitational. The race will take place at Whitetail Golf Course, Colfax, Wis. and begins at 4:00 p.m.
