Luther shot rounds of 304 and 314 for a two-day total of 618 and captured the team title of the Frank Wigglesworth Blugold Invite hosted by UW-Eau Claire.
The 15-team field was loaded with talent and the Norse finished one stroke ahead of nationally ranked Gustavus Adolphus (619) and three strokes ahead of nationally ranked St. John's University (621) and St. Thomas University (621), to secure the team title. Host UW-Eau Claire was fifth at 626.
The tournament victory was the first big tournament title for the Norse since they won the Gustavus Adolphus Bobby Krig Invite in 2009.
Individually, Andrew Peter carded a 74 this afternoon to go along with his 77 on day one, for a 151. Peter finished third from the field of 80 golfers. Alex Kolquist of Gustavus was the tournament medalist with a 145. Josh Grisa of UW-Stout was second with a 150.
