Luther moved above the .500 mark for the first time this season after posting a 5-0 victory over St. Mary's University tonight in Decorah.
Four different players scored their first goals of the season en route to the victory. Erin Wilson (1) knocked in what proved to be the game winner in the 26th minute, followed by Maggie Jasper (1) and Lydia Eager (1) in the 28th and 46th minutes respectively. Maggie Herrity assisted on both the Wilson and Eager goals.
In the second frame, Herrity (2) added to her point total scoring on a cross from Eager (2) at 63:12. Kelsey Petersen (1) scored the fifth and final goal unassisted at 88:47.
Cydney Haaland went the distance in front of the nets making seven saves for her third shut out of the year.
The Norse are now 4-3-1. They will begin Iowa Conference action on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Central College. Kick-off for the Iowa Conference opener will take place at 2:00 p.m. This match will be video streamed.
