Tennis Facilities

Luther's 12 tennis courts were recently renovated and resurfaced using a state-of-the-art method resulting in a more durable, stable and consistent playing surface.

A renovation of the outdoor tennis courts the summer of 2017 marked the beginning of a new era for Luther College tennis. The college's 12 courts were resurfaced using a state-of-the-art method resulting in a more durable, stable and consistent playing surface. The new facility provides athletes with plenty of space to improve their skills. In case of inclement weather and during the indoor portion of the tennis schedules, the Norse practice and compete in the The 45,000-square-foot Sports and Recreation Center.

The Luther men's and women's teams have dominated the Iowa Conference. The men have won 31 league titles, while the women have been crowned champions 26 times—both IIAC records.

Both teams play a fall and spring schedule with the women playing for the conference championship in the fall, while the men play for the league title in the spring. The NCAA Division III National Tennis Tournaments are both played in the spring. The women have made twelve appearances in the national tournament while the men have been to the national tournament six times.
